Heartleaf Philodendron

The ideal temperature for the Heartleaf Philodendron to thrive is between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius. Cooler temperatures will slow its growth. It is tolerant of dry conditions but may appreciate a misting occasionally.

The Heartleaf Philodendron will grow in many different light conditions. However, it will thrive best in bright, indirect light. Leggy stems and small leaves with large spaces between leaves is a sign that the plant isn’t getting enough light.

Allow the top part of the soil to dry out before watering. The soil likes to be moist but not wet.

Prefers a soil that drains quickly.

It will be happy in the same pot for a couple of years. Wipe leaves with a damp soft cloth to remove dust and reduce the risk of any pests. Pinch the plant after a leaf node to encourage a full and bushy plant.

The Heartleaf Philodendron grows quickly and will appreciate being fed with a liquid fertilizer in the spring and summer growth periods.

The Heartleaf Philodendron is toxic and should not be consumed by animals or humans
